Vokslev Kalkgrav

Introduction

Right next to the village of Vokslev in Denmark lies an old chalk quarry. It's almost completely overgrown and there isn't much left to find. This quarry is therefore less suitable for children and can sometimes be somewhat dangerous. Many of the fossils we found here are so small that I can't photograph them properly. These are mainly small shells and sea urchin spines, which keen collectors may still find worth collecting.

Still, we found ammonites, brachiopods and shells, among other things, in the hour or so we spent here.
